Disappointed with iPhone’s Maps app? You weren’t the only ones
So we think you will be pleased to hear that Google has a Google Maps app that is soon to hit the App Store (exact dates have not been forthcoming). Consumers will benefit by having a superior alternative to the native Maps app. Google has proven that its Maps are some of “the most comprehensive, accurate and easy to use maps in the world,” so you can bet many of us shared your disappointed at not being able to use Google Maps on the iPhone.
The outcry over this seemingly inconsequential issue even led to a public apology from Apple CEO Tim Cook for the replacement of the Google Maps app with Apple’s inferior version.
